Egburt addresses two obstacles to widespread IoT solution deployment by mainstream businesses. Egburt offers low total cost of ownership (TCO) sensing by using very little energy, thereby extending battery life and reducing maintenance. Egburt reduces potentially huge cloud-computing costs by allowing "fog computing," where the processing is be done right at the point of collection, with only a small amount of relevant data being passed on to a central location.
Egburt's brand proposition is "Power at the Edge." In support of that brand, we designed Egburt's housing and interfaces with contemporary forms, clean colors and staggered combinations of gloss and matt finishes that communicate intelligence over mere connectivity.
